Off-campus opportunities

Fellowships listed above are primarily or exclusively for research at Brandeis. Learn more about  off-campus opportunities for summer research.

Entrepreneurial research

If your research has an entrepreneurial aspect, consider if either the SPROUT program or the SPARK program from OTL makes sense for your project.

Info Sessions for SPROUT grants:

  • January 24, 2018, 3pm-4pm | Carl J. Shapiro Science Center Library
  • February 1, 2018, 3pm-4pm | Volen 201

World of Work

The Brandeis World of Work program is a competition that can provide funding for otherwise unpaid internships.

QBReC

The Quantitative Biology Research Community (QBReC) is a HHMI-funded program that supports some Brandeis students doing summer research. Students enter the program in their first year by taking two specialized courses: a fall seminar on Nature’s Nanotechnology and a spring experiential-learning practicum

Brandeis-India Programs

Not summer funding, but posting here until i find a better place for it:

Brandeis-India Science Scholars Program

Earn science credit (biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, computer science) at the "MIT of India" - the Indian Institute of Science (IISc). You will directly enroll in English-taught courses and find yourself immersed in Indian culture. You can also opt to undertake or continue research while there.

The Brandeis-India Fellows Program

The program offers limited funding for the development of creative projects aimed at building ties between Brandeis University and Indian alumni, partners, and organizations. Awards generally range from $500 - $2,000 and can be used in addition to other university funding, as well as personal and external funding.
