What is a Zoom Webinar?

Zoom webinars differ from standard Zoom meetings by allowing a user or group to broadcast a meeting or event to an large audience of viewers (up to 300). Webinars allow for viewers to participate by typing questions into a Q&A window, chat, and participate in live polls. Zoom webinars can be hosted from your own computer/workspace OR you may want to consider hosting from a studio environment, depending on the format of your event.

Zoom webinars allow you to require a registration page so that you can collect contact information from participants for future follow-up.

How do I setup a webinar?

A Zoom webinar must be setup by a Brandeis Zoom account administrator. To request a webinar session to be setup for you, please fill out the Brandeis Zoom Webinar Request Form.

For more information about the difference between standard Zoom meetings and webinars, see the Zoom Meeting and Webinar Comparison Sheet.
