If you have media or a playlist from Ensemble that you'd like to add to your course, you can easily add it as an activity within your course.  

Getting Started

On your course page, click the “Turn Editing On” button located near the top right to enable editing.

Within the topic that you’d like the media to appear, click on “Add an Activity or Resource”.

Within the topic that you’d like the media to appear, click on “Add an Activity or Resource”.

From the pop-out window, click on the “Ensemble Video” activity within the list. Then click “Add” at the bottom.

Give your media a name within “Activity Name”. Then click on “Select content”.

  • Note: If you don’t add a video name, the title of the media within Ensemble will be inherited.

  • In the pop-out window, click on “Login with Brandeis Unet” if prompted.


Adding a single media file

The “Choose Media” tab at the top should be selected as a default after logging into Ensemble.

Use the “Library” dropdown to select the library that you’d like to select a media file from.

(Alternately, you can type in the search box to search)

After selecting the library, all media within it will appear and is searchable.

Once you find the media that you’d like to add, click on “Choose” underneath of the thumbnail image.

You have three additional options you can select:

  1. Change Media: Select this if you’d like to change your media selection
  2. Preview: Preview what the video will look like when selected from your course
  3. Media Embed Options: Change the embedding options for the video including the size and toggle content settings on or off.

 

When ready, click “Save” under the thumbnail image

Click on “Save and return to course” to finish adding the media.

 

 

 

Adding a playlist

Note: If you are adding a playlist to your course, you will need to create the playlist in Ensemble first. Then you will be able to select the playlist from within the resource in Latte using the following instructions.

Click on the “Choose Playlist” tab at the top.

Use the “Library” dropdown to select the library that you’d like to select the playlist from.

(Alternately, you can type in the search box to search)

After selecting the library, all playlists within it will appear.

Once you find the playlist that you’d like to add, click on “Choose” on the line next to the playlist name.

You have three options to select 

  1. Change Playlist: Select this if you’d like to change your playlist selection
  2. Preview: Preview what the video will look like when selected from your course
  3. Playlist Embed Options: Change the embedding options for the playlist including the layout and toggle content settings on or off.
When ready, click “Save” under the playlist name. 
Click on “Save and return to course” to finish adding the media.

 

 

Tips and Tricks

  • After adding media or a playlist, you can edit the name at any time by enabling editing and clicking on the pencil icon located to the right of the existing name

  • You can move your media or playlist to another topic of the course by enabling editing, clicking on the icon with the four arrows to the left, and dragging it to where you’d like it to appear.
